GWFL produce luxury and bespoke hand embroidered bed and table linen. My main responsibilities included overseeing product development, production, customer service and liaison with suppliers.

July 2009 - May 2010: Crew onboard a 56m Perini Navi sailing yacht SY Riela. www.perininavi.it

During this experience I sailed across the Atlantic (worked in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean), looked after guests and the interior. This job required excellent communication and organizational skills, team effort and the ability to work under pressure.

Personal achievements:

November 2014: Winner New Material Award, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. www.newmaterialaward.nl

The New Material Award challenges artists, designers, and architects to present designs that answer today's questions and tomorrow's challenges. New sustainable materials or innovative use of materials serve as the guideline. The design was in turn exhibited at Het Nieuwe Instituut. 

October 2014: Nominee Social Design Award given on behalf by the city of Eindhoven.

With its theme of Well-Aged Life, Well-Balanced Design, the 12th Seoul Design Festival, from 26/30 November 2014, focuses on how Korean society is ageing. Possible answers and solutions from a design perspective will be presented in five categories: Sharing, Healthcare, Hospitality, Healing and Heritage.

September 2014: Selected exhibitor at upcoming exhibition ‘Cure and Care’ at Taipei Design Museum, Taiwan.

On consignment for the City of Eindhoven and Brainport Development the exhibition will run from 23 December 2014 to 8 March 2015 and focus on products that contribute to a longer, healthier, more independent and therefore better quality life.

Following the presentation the project was selected for the TUe Innovation Lab Incubator amongst the wining proposals of the BRAINS AWARD to participate and receive start-up support.

September 2012 - March 2014: Vice president of the Design Academy Eindhoven Student Council
Representing the interests of Master students from all departments and both year groups. This included helping select the new creative director, establish a new online web platform for students to find and share important information, mediate current issues amongst other responsibilities.

June 2013: Exhibitor at SPACES Amsterdam during ELLE Inside Design

Participant at the exhibition ‘Creative solutions to prevent domestic Burglary’. The project was later also selected to exhibit at the Congres Veilig Door Innovatie in The Hague.
